Careers   What is a Chaplain?
Contact Us   Chaplains are clergy who have been clinically trained to offer a religious ministry in institutional settings, such as the military, a hospital, a prison or a hospice. At Chaplain PRN, our Chaplains provide ministry that focuses on the spiritual and emotional needs of the patient, family and staff.

    What does Chaplain PRN do?

Chaplain PRN provides temporary staffing and permanent placement solutions in the area of pastoral care to hospices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, correctional facilities and profit and not-for-profit agencies.  Our chaplains provide ministry to our client's patients, families and staff in a variety of occasions. In the chaotic events of traumas in the emergency room, in the tense hours of the waiting room, in the struggle of recovery from accident or illness, in the celebration of the birth of a child, in the rejoicing over good news from a test or procedure, in the anxiety of impending surgery, and in the moments of grief and loss, the Chaplain is there to offer support and compassion. The Chaplain seeks to connect people to the resource of faith and spirituality as they face life and death issues. Through the use of both process and presence, the Chaplain offers comfort, strength and hope.

Can Christians provide services to non-Christian and secular agencies?

Yes.  Our training provides services that are relevant and practical to meet the needs of people in crisis.  Christians have resources and talents to offer.  While the faith community is often serving in religious roles we also train chaplains in services and disciplines beyond religious activities that can provide needed assistance to hurting and needy people.

Does the ministry only promote Christian beliefs?

Churches and communities of faith are great resources and have much to offer.  During an initial crisis, people often look for the calming nature of prayer. However, our Chaplain Corp is trained to provide assistance in cooperation with our client's institutional mandate.  We do not use crisis situations to promote local churches or religious beliefs.  We simply provide a caring and sensitive ministry of presence to those in need.

    What about confidentiality?
We respect and protect the right of privacy for each client and their patients who use our services.  Under most state laws, pastors and clergy are protected and permitted to provide their services confidentially. Agencies are asked to provide our Chaplain PRN with the ability to provide confidentiality for any pastoral discussion, critical debriefing or other services provided to the agency.

How can my organization receive services?
Simply give us a call to arrange an appointment with one of our Business Development Representatives to discuss your specific needs, goals and objectives. It's that simple.
